The Moretonhampstead Tennis Club is based at the King George V Playing Fields on the North Bovey Road, postcode TQ13 8NZ.
There are 3 floodlit hard courts, and tennis is played throughout the year.
The main club evening is on Monday, when there is a coaching and games session for the juniors (6 to 12 year olds) from 6 to 7pm, followed by an all-comers session for the seniors until 9:30pm.
There is also an all-comers session for the seniors from 7pm on Thursdays, and tennis can be played at other times when the courts have not been booked for another sporting activity – check with the Sports Centre on 440107.
Moretonhampstead TC have teamed up with Chagford TC to play in the Exeter Mens League, and had a successful season this year, narrowly missing out on promotion.
Annual membership fees are £60 adult (21 and over), £100 family, £30 under 21. Included are all court fees, and balls are provided.
Non club members are welcome to join in on a pay-as-you-play basis. The fee for the junior session on Monday is £1, and for the senior sessions is £3. And the fee for playing at other times is £8 per court per hour, bookable through the Sports Centre 440107.
